The Office of Disability Services Scholarship Program

Our office is excited to offer scholarships to eligible students.

Recipients have been selected for the 2009-2010 academic year. Applications for 2010-2011 will be available in Spring 2010.

The scholarship money is awarded to the selected recipients the following Fall semester. This scholarship is not renewable, but students may reapply for the scholarship each Spring semester.

Student Eligibility:

1. Cumulative GPA above 2.5
2. Documented Financial Need
3. Verification of undergraduate enrollment at UNC Charlotte with registration and maintenance of a minimum of 6 credit hours
4. No disciplinary actions on academic record
5. Completion of FAFSA
6. Submission of completed application packet
7. Signed release of attached Consent to Release Information

Applications will be reviewed by a scholarship committee comprised of faculty and staff who work with students in a variety of settings.

Please include all required information indicated in the application packet and submit to the Office of Disability Services, 230 Fretwell.

Scholarship award winners are notified by letter.

Award winners will also be announced on the Office of Disability Services website, Office of Disability Services news board, The University Times, Tapestry newsletter, the faculty newsletter, The Charlotte Observer, and other local media outlets.
