Individual Counseling and
Consulting
Individual counseling is available to students who wish to discuss issues
pertaining to their disabilities. Students are not assigned a specific counselor
when registering with our office. This allows all of the counselors a chance to
work with each student. It also permits for more flexibility in scheduling in
order to address the time constraints that many students experience. However,
students may request a particular counselor if so desired.
Students are encouraged to make appointments to discuss any concerns that
might arise in regards to accommodations and accessibility. If the issues lie
outside the field of disability services, referrals to other campus support
services can be made. Many of the students registered with the Office of
Disability Services benefit from the resources offered by the Center for
Academic Excellence/ The Tutorial Center, The Writing Center, The Counseling
Center, and The Career Center. For more information please visit our
Resources page.
Counselors are also available to discuss disability issues with prospective
students, faculty, and staff.
