Testing
All accommodations are determined based upon the individual and their
documented disability.
Testing accommodations are offered by the Office of Disability Services. We have
several small rooms that are utilized for a lower distraction environment.
If testing accommodations within DS are appropriate, testing request forms must
be completed and returned to the Office of Disability Services.
Students give the testing request form to their professor and once completed,
the student ensures that the form is returned to the Office of Disability
Services. This form provides all the information regarding the student’s exams.
Request forms for testing in the DS office should be received at least one week
prior to the exam. Requests for taking finals in the DS office require several
weeks notice. Deadlines will be made available by the DS staff.
All tests given in the Office of Disability Services are proctored and
monitored with surveillance cameras.
Extended testing time is also another accommodation that is dependent upon
documented needs. Time extension can be utilized either in the classroom or
within the Office of Disability Services. Discussion with faculty and staff
is
critical to this process.
