Confidentiality

Student records, disability documentation, and counseling sessions with the Office of Disability Services are confidential.

Registration with our office is not indicated on transcripts and is not part of a student’s academic records.
 

While accommodation letters notify instructors of a student’s registration with our office, the nature of the disability is not disclosed.

Additionally, a student’s status can not be discussed with parents or other supports unless the proper release of information is signed. This is to ensure the confidentiality and privacy of all of the students served by our office.
