sneeze. Cough or sneeze into your sleeve/elbow.
- Use tissues one time only - discard in wastebasket after
use.
- Stay at least six feet away from anyone you suspect is
ill.

regularly, and get plenty of rest!

aches.
- Some people report having nausea, vomiting and/or

spreading the flu virus. Stay in the dorm room or home for at least 24 hours
after the fever is gone. DO NOT COME IN TO TEST IN THE DS OFFICE IF YOU
HAVE THE FLU! CONTACT FACULTY TO RESCHEDULE EXAMS!
- Students who miss class due to illness should use the
Online Notification Form to alert faculty:
https://secure4.uncc.edu/flu/index.php/login.
- Those who live in the Charlotte area are advised to
return to their home, preferably by private car, to avoid making others
sick.
- Students should try to identify a “buddy” who can bring
them supplies and meals if they become ill. Pick-up your flu kit in the
Office of Disability Services.
- If you are in the HIGH RISK group (pre-existing medical
conditions, pregnant women, etc.) consult your physician or the
